Does anyone have any good ideas for how to start the conclusion for an essay like the one Laz assigned us today? I always get stuck on the intro and conclusion and I never know what to talk about...mainly for the conclusion. Usually I write what I'm going to be talking about in my intro.

I personally believe that the conclusion is one of the hardest parts of an essay. This is mainly because you have to re-state a lot of information without sounding too repetitive. You also have to wrap up all the previous information in a neat manner so that 'your point' in the essay is clear. If you feel that you have done all that and you still need a few more sentences, I find it best to relate the issue to the world or to something bigger than the topic at hand.
An example: You are writing an essay about why we should be more involved to stop the genocide in Darfur.
Your conclusion can mention all your key points and then you can go on to say how genocide itself is a huge problem in today's world and it reflects a country's values and morals when they choose not to act out against genocide.
Conclusions are usually the opposite of introductions. They start with your specific point and then end on something bigger that makes the reader think.
HOWEVER, I am only equipped with pre-Toulmin model knowledge on essays. So beware!
