Heriosm

Hey guys, I sort of forget what the question was that Mr. Lazarow wanted us to think about for class tomorrow. Was it just what we think about heroism or was there more to it? I have stuff to say, I just don't want to screw up the question. haha

I'm pretty sure the assignment was to think about the concept of heroism in relation to Beowulf? But then he said something about our own definition of heroism. Then we are suppose to start discussions on the blog and get ready for a discussion tomorrow. I think it's pretty interesting how being a hero in Beowulf is basically someone who is overly brave and avenges death rather than mourns it. I mean I'm still reading the introduction but the story sounds pretty interesting already. (A bit tragic, but interesting none the less) What does everyone else think about Beowulf's concept of heroism? In their world being a hero seems to mean a lot more and require a lot more work (...killing monsters.)
